Chart of Emotions

« Back to Lexicon Index

The Chart of Emotions is a concise table that categorizes and organizes various emotions and used by the Emotion Code® practitioners as a reference tool. It provides a comprehensive list of emotions that can become trapped in the body, allowing practitioners to identify and release specific trapped emotions during a session. The chart includes sixty emotions organized in two columns and six rows along with the part of the body that generates them.

These sixty emotions represent the entire spectrum of emotions that an individual can experience. This simplified list is used to keep the process easy and quick. The key is in finding emotions that are closest to those represented in the chart. As Dr. Bradly Nelson explains on his website,

The list of emotions that follows encompasses the range of human emotion. There are many more emotions in the dictionary besides the ones listed here, but we choose to use a simplified list to keep things easy and quick. You do not need to add to this list – every emotion that can be experienced will fall under an emotion listed below (e.g. Embarrassment would fall under Humiliation, Bewildered would fall under Confusion, etc.)

The Emotion Code®©Dr. Bradley Nelson

The chart of emotions help practitioners quickly find trapped emotions in clients helping them gain a better understanding of their emotional experiences and supporting the process of emotional healing and release.

How the chart is used

Emotion Code® practitioners rely on the chart of emotions to quickly pinpoint trapped emotions in a client’s energy system. Their main goal is to assist clients in releasing these emotions, and using the Emotion Code® chart enables them to conduct sessions more effectively.

Typically, a practitioner will begin by inquiring about any trapped emotions that could be released and perform a muscle test to validate the statement. If the test yields a positive result, they then proceed to determine the specific type of trapped emotion. They do so by using an example sequence as follows:

STATEMENTSRESPONSES
The emotion is located in Column A.A strong muscle response indicates "Yes," while a weak muscle response indicates "No." If the response is "No," it means the emotion is located in Column B since there are only two columns. In either case, the practitioner proceeds to test the next statement.
The emotion is located in Row 1, Row 2, Row 3, Row 5, Row 6.If the trapped emotion is confirmed to be present in, for example, Row 3 of Column A, the practitioner will then proceed to identify the specific emotion by examining the five emotions listed in that box.
The emotion is Crying, Discouragement, Rejection, Sadness, Sorrow.A positive response to this statement will help identify the particular trapped emotion that needs to be released from the client's energy field at that moment.

Conclusion

The primary purpose of the chart of emotions is to aid in the identification of trapped emotions that need to be released from a client during a session. However, the actual transformative work occurs when these emotions are effectively released, leading to improvements in the client’s health and overall well-being. This is the ultimate objective of Emotion Code®, to bring about positive changes in the client’s life.
